Peugeot 2008 2021 GT with sunroof is now available for sale at our yard in Nairobi.

It has improved features and a total new design – interior and at the body. Apart from the signature Lion logo popularly known as Simba in Africa, everything else in the car assumed new design or facelift. Notable features include body redesign that includes introduction of canine daylight running, new grill design and claw tail lights.

Interior also received extra features such wireless charging pad, bigger screen and digital cluster, ambiance lights, intelligent entry, Lane departure alerts, collision mitigation system among other features.

The price of the 2008 currently, in Nairobi is between Kenya shilling 2.9 and 3.2 million depending on whether the car is a GT, GTLine, has a sunroof or just Allure without sunroof. The year also plays a role in pricing so if you are buying a 2020 you may enjoy a slightly lower price in the market.

Unlike the 2017-2019 models, the 2021 new shape now has a sunroof which was exclusively coming with a 3008 models only.

Power and fuel consumption

2015-2019 had a horse power of 110Hp and a torque of 205Nm, this particular unit of 2021 model has an improved horse power of 130hp and 250Nm of torque. It comes with an EAT8 – 8 speed gearbox which is an improvement from the 2015-2019 model that used the EAT6 – 6 speed automatic gearbox.

It takes 9 seconds for the car to attain 100km/hr and consumes approximately 21km/litre of fuel if factors such as genuine plugs are used or the car’s wheel alignment is maintained and recommended weight of the car is adhered to.

For instance, the car has a boot space that can accommodate up-to 3 or 6 medium size suit cases or a luggage of up-to 750kgs. Overloading of any car results in higher fuel consumption because the driver will be putting more pressure on gas peddle due to the weight of the car.

The fuel consumption of the car in town service is between 6-8L/100km while highway circles is between 5.5-6.6L/100km.

Ground clearance and leg room

It has a ground clearance of 22.1cm and uses 17 inch alloy wheels hence ideal for both urban and good rural roads.

The cost of servicing the car is friendly, for instance, air cleaner costs 1700/=, oil filter costs 700/= and the recommended oil from Total petrol stations ranges from 4000/= upwards depending on whether you are buying MC3, Ineos first, Ineos HTC, Quartz 9000 or 7000
