Toyota Raize is a 1.0L three cylinder turbo charged engine car that is designed for both city drives and long distance travels. It is fuel efficient and powerful thanks to the turbo technology in the car.  It has a horsepower of 98Hp and a 140Nm of torque. The car is a rebadged Diahatsu Rocky that came into the market in 2019. Diahatsu Rocky is an old name that belonged to an old car that was discontinued but has been revived through this 1000cc model.

Just like most car models from Diahatsu company, Toyota Raize is a simple car with little engineering as compared to most European cars; notably, you don’t need sophisticated softwares or mechanic to repair the car as it is a simple car hence can be owned by someone living away from the city.

It has a good legroom, good ground clearance of about 20cm and a big boot that can carry more than three medium size suite cases. The car has 6 airbags, seat warmers, big radio screen, front and rear cameras, front and rear parking sensors and the car is fixed with 16 or 17 inch alloy rims.

Fuel Consumption

Toyota Raize 1L can consume between 5 and 6Litres per 100 Kms in combined long distance and city drive which translates to between 18-22km/L. It has fuel tank capacity of 36 litres which enough to cover more than 700kms without refuelling. It is ideal for a young family or someone buying a car for the first time and needs a fuel efficient car with good space for luggage.

Cost of service

Service parts are affordable and readily available in Kenya. The car shares air cleaner with Nissan XTrail. A budget of around Kenya Shillings 7,000 is enough to do the usual service of 5000kms. The prices may vary depending on where you service your car.

Security features in the car include six airbags, lane departure alert, include lane departure warning and collision mitigation warning systems.
